The Hong Kong Academy of Finance (AoF) has been established in June 2019 with full collaboration amongst the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Securities and Futures Commission, the Insurance Authority and the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority. As a subsidiary of the HKMA, the AoF will serve two functions: (i) as a centre of excellence for developing financial leadership; and (ii) as a repository of knowledge in monetary and financial research, including applied research. The AoF research activity is carried through the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary and Financial Research (HKIMR).
